Default Bullet Indentation Lost But Text Indentation Not Lost

Accidentally posted this to the wrong subforum the first time.

I had been writing in a document, creating a lot of indented bullets. Everything was working fine and dandy but then something happened that caused all the indented bullets to be alligned on the left, they all moved over to the left, while the text stayed indented where it was at.

I have no idea how to get the bullets to move back to their original positions next to the text. Everything I have tried does not fix it.

This is what it looks like: http://s24.postimg.org/4iqslgb9h/Wor...ng_Problem.jpg
old one screen shot - might not be working: http://i.imgur.com/vCOZ7iB.gif

It is 81 pages of notes so I can't just go and readjust all the bullets one by one. I need to get all of them to move back where they originally were ;_;

If someone could tell me how to get the bullets to move back to where they were I would greatly appreciate it! I am even willing to throw you a few bucks via Paypal for the knowledge if you'd like! I want to fix it that bad

I am using Word 2010 32-bit

Well, your .gif only shows a blank page (no graphic at all). However, here is a good link (if you don't mind reading up on the topic) that could help you:

http://shaunakelly.com/word/bullets/...s20072010.html

If you use styles, I have attached a file that illustrates the 5 bullet styles provided within the Word styles (the style is called out to the right of the text). Of course, each of the illustrated bullets can be modified and indented to your satisfaction.

Hope this helps...

Thanks for the info JimP!

I'm not sure why the image isn't showing up. I am able to see it when I go to that address. I don't know why it's a .gif though.

I tried uploading it again to a different site: http://s24.postimg.org/4iqslgb9h/Wor...ng_Problem.jpg

I did see that website and tried a thing or two from it, but I did not read it fully and thoroughly. I will do that, as well as check out your doc, and hopefully find a solution! Some of the things that was suggested that I tried did not move the bullets back to their original position, but instead just brought all of the indented text to the left, which doesn't help me because I need the original indentation of both the bullets and their line of text.
