Default Internal links in Word 2010

Hi. I don't know if this is possible, but I am trying to create internal links in a Word document.

I have a document that will get used by many people (and saved with their individual names). There are values that they enter that will get copied from tables in the document to a table at the bottom, which will then average these values. I created a copy/paste link that works just fine, if it's the source document. However, when the document is changed and saved under a different name, it continues to search for the original source document.

Is there a way to have a pasted link within your document that will only look for the link in that particular document, rather than searching for the data from outside?

I hope this makes sense.

Thank you,
Marianne

Best thing I can think of is using bookmarks and then using internal links that the reader can click on to bring them to that part of the document.

This should be what you're looking for.
