Random indentation
I keep getting random indentation in my documents but I don't know why. The indent for left and right is set to 0 but the headings, paragraphs, first lines, following lines all have different indentation.
If I use ctrl+a and then set the first line indentation and "hanging indent" (on rulers bar) to 0 then the indent is still all over the place. I can manually remove the initial indent on all of the paragraphs but some headings / paragraphs are still indented more than others. I have been using the document in Libre Office as well so this could be something to do with that but it is a docx file. |

The fact that the document was initially created in a different word processor is probably the reason for the undesired formatting.
Select all text and then click Format | Paragraph. Under "Indentation," make sure that "Left" and "Right" are both set to zero and that "Special" is set to "(none)." On the other hand, if the document contains paragraph numbering, you need to recreate the numbering as discussed at http://shaunakelly.com/word/numberin...ering2003.html.
