Default Global Footer Formatting

Hello list, I am having trouble finding out how to change the global font color for footers in Office Word 13. I suppose my issues are hidden in a page or paragraph style somewhere, but don't know for sure. I've review several articles about footers, but nothing is mentioned about changing the footer color in a global fashion. My present footers are a light shade of grey or blue and I would like these changed globally to black. Thanks for any replies.

When test printing, I discovered that the footer print was black, as intended. I did not realize headers and footers were slightly greyed, but I suppose there is a reason. Anyway, thanks again.
