problems with apostrophe
I'm running word on an iMac.
word is inserting an extra space after each apostrophe. Additionally, this story I'm working on has lots of dialogue. I'm using quotation marks around the dialogue text. Word is adding extra space between lines, but only on the text line between the quotation marks. If I can't get this figured out, I'll have to use indesign... rb

When quotation marks and spaces misbehave, the first thing to check is that the correct language is applied to text (because different languages have different default settings for typographical quotation marks and spaces around punctuation).
