240 page book.
Many photos and illustrations.
I used numerous Section Breaks to start new pages.
I've spent some 10 hours trying to get Word to paginate with Roman numerals in the front matter and Arabic numerals for the main book. I can't get it to work. No hair left to pull. I'm willing to pay someone to fix this problem for me. Must upload to Createspace within the next couple of weeks.
Help mucho appreciated!

It really refers to an essay document but, you can apply the same info to any document. One thing to note though is that they do not show where the roman numerals are inserted. However, you can probably guess that when you watch the video.

Thanks for replies. I'm sure a tech savvy person could have solved the issue in 10 minutes, but it took me another ten hours. For the life of me, I could not delete previous attempts to paginate, so the final product had roman numerals mixed in with normal page numbers. I finally created a new document and carefully copied and pasted in the text and photos from the book piece by piece, always making sure that it didn't also include the hidden code with its unwanted roman numerals. I think I might have got better use of my time learning to use Adobe InDesign. Thanks again.
