Default Move Settings from Word 2010 to Office 365

I have a number of settings such as auto-corrects, macros and customized tool bars and that I would like to preserve when I migrate from Office 2010 to Office 365. Are there any gotchas I should be aware of? I'm assuming that I will need to move the QAT files, normal.dot, etc. but I don't know if there will be format changes that will interfere or things like that. For example, will my Word 2010 normal.dot be compatible with 2013? How about the QAT file formats? In past migrations, I have always missed something. Does anyone have first hand experience they can share? TIA.

For AutoCorrects, use the utility on Jay Freedman's site.
AutoCorrect2007.zip

It copies all AutoCorrects, formatted and unformatted into a word table where they can be edited if you want. It then loads them back into the same or a different system.

Your Word 2010 normal.dotm will be compatible with Word 2013 (365) but may put you into a compatibility mode.

Not sure of the rest.

Are you making the change on the same computer or a different one?

Actually, I have Office 2010 running on my main machine (Win 7). I was planning on doing a complete reformat and reinstall of Win 8.1 and then switching to Office 365. I already have Office 365 installed on a Surface Pro. Now I am beginning to think I should activate Office 365 on my main machine before I reformat and install Win 8.1. Would that capture my main machine's Word and Outlook settings to the cloud? Should I uninstall Office 365 from my Surface Pro first?
