Default Help with creating a Word document that is like a template

Hi,

I am using Word 2010. I am trying to make a template for a nursing process assignment. I have a header and footer but need the columns (three of them) to stay on each page and not expand as I type. I want exactly what is on the page to stay there. I also have two rows. The top row has titles over each column. I need that to stay the same...in other words, staying exactly as it is now. As I type I want the words to continue to the second page (and so on) skipping over the top row (which is much smaller than the second row). Not sure if this makes sense or not. Is this even possible??

Text that you want to repeat on all pages can be placed in the page header, if that helps.

For the text in the main body of the document, use three newspaper style columns (Page Layout tab | Columns | Three).

It sounds as if you may want a Table. The things at the top you would want to be in a separate row that is marked as a header row. This is different from a page header.

On the other hand, if you want text to flow from column to column, you want the snake columns described by Stefan.
