Word 10 ..cannot set page size to 8.5x11 after numerous attempts
I have tried using the page layout menu to change the Word10 default page size to letter size 8.5x11 but after going through the page layout tab and setting the default to 8.5x11 size the page size still remains at a default 7.5x10 AND remains so when I re-open Word 10 a new page.
The ruler on the top and left only goes to a maximum of 7.5x10 Any help in solving this frustrating problem appreciated! |

There are more elegant ways of doing this I am sure, but this should work.
Open the normal.dotm template. When you do this the name at the top of the screen should say "Norma.dotm." Normal Template in Microsoft Word - How to Open Change the page size. Type any letter of the alphabet. Backspace to delete that (do not use Ctrl-Z or UnDo). Save and close the normal.dotm template. If you have trouble changing other defaults the same procedure should work. If you want to explore why this is happening, write back in a separate topic about inability to change defaults. |
