Comments in Word 2010
Dear all and hello,
I'm new here, thus please excuse if I do not compley to all rules. However, I have a little question. For Pros like you it should be simple to answer. I have comments in a Word-Document. The structure is comment followed by the initials and the text. Now, my problem is that I would like to print out the document with the comments but more likely like the tool tip/quick tip with Full name and date. Is that possible? I do not mean a separate mark-up list. THX to all and for taking your time, Markus |

You can use the following macro:
Code:
Sub InsertCommentsInTextBody() Dim c As Comment For Each c In ActiveDocument.Content.Comments c.Reference.InsertAfter "[" & c.Author & ", " _ & c.Date & ", " & c.Range.Text & "]" Next c End Sub For assistance with installation, see http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm.

As an alternative, you can add the user name and time stamp at the end of each comment:
Code:
Sub InsertCommentsInTextBodyVersion2() Dim c As Comment For Each c In ActiveDocument.Content.Comments c.Range.InsertAfter "[" & c.Author & ", " _ & c.Date & "]" Next c End Sub
