Character based Search and Replace font size
Hi, I have a file with paragraphs like this:
设宴[設-] shèyàn* {E} v.o. give a dinner/banquet | Tā ∼ zhāodài le wǒ. 他∼招待了我。 He gave me a dinner party. The Asian font is "KaiTi", the Latin font is "Century Schoolbook". I tried to do a Format Search and Replace to make the Asian font a little bigger, but Search and Replace would change the font size of the entire paragraph. The KaiTi part should be 13 points, the Century Schoolbook part 11 points. I tried to define a character-based style sheet, but any changes still affect both the Asian and the Latin part. Is there a way to replace either only the Latin or the Asian part? The text is pasted in from another application. Thanks! |

I just tried it with changing Comic Sans 8pt to Comic Sans 10pt with no problems. It was important to specify both the font and size in the find and replace boxes.

Yeah, I think with normal Latin text and different fonts, it works great. I have the somewhat special case where Word treats the Asian and Latin fonts as one and the same font, but I would like Word to distinguish between the two. Perhaps you wish to try copying my mixed paragraph a couple of times into Word?
