Accept Chanages: what does it do?
I am trying to prevent unwanted format changes in my tables. They vary too much to assign a style to each variation. In Show Markup and unchecking Comments, Ink, and Insertions and Deletions, then doing Accept All Changes Shown prevent these unwanted changes? If not, how?
Thank you. |

"Accept all changes" has to do with the Track Changes feature and has nothing to do with locking in your tables formatting.

A wrod of encouragement – depending on the information you're displaying in the tables, you could be doing your readers a favour if you try for a more unified format. You could then help yourself by using styles.

To reuse table formatting, and possibly also content, you can create an example table, select it and create a Building Block entry. Whenever you need that specific format, just insert the Building Block.

According to the Word 2010 F1 Help, "building blocks" are managed through the Quick Part gallery … doggedly continuing to search the help, I eventually found instructions under "Save a signature block as AutoText."

For more on the basics of Building Blocks, see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...131.aspx?CTT=1 (note that it was written for Word 2007, but the general principles still apply).
