Default print discrepancy
The document I am trying to print prints differently than shows on the print preview. The test is supposed to be justified but comes out unevenly. What causes this? How do I correct? Using Office & Student 2007 on Windows 7.

If you create a PDF and then print the PDF, then does the printout look OK?

Also, is the problem document-specific, or can you reproduce it in any document printed on the particular printer?

PDF is messed up as well. Other things print fine & I've tried other printers & it is still wrong.

The problem appears to be document-specific, then. Can you share the document, or relevant parts of it? You can attach an example document to this forum (of course, you should remove any sensitive information from the file first).

It's just the table of contents for a class I took.

In a manual TOC, spaces/periods may work with certain fonts and sizes, but it's very likely to stop working soon (for example if you open the document on a system where the original font is not present).

Instead, you will have to set a right-aligned tab stop with a tab leader for the page numbers on the right. Then replace the periods you are using as tab leaders with an actual tab character (inserted by pressing Tab).

Thanks for the info. I got it to work a little differently but will keep this info on hand for other classes I take.
