Word form - created successfully, problem filling out
Hello everyone,
I've recently created a form in Word, where some of the fields require writing out your answer and others just ticking a box. I locked the form so that it can be filled in, and when I tested it, I encountered the following problem: everything runs smoothly until I tick a box; after I tick a box (a typical yes/no question), I can't introduce text in any of the fields that require typing. I've tried different combination of text fields and tick boxes, and it makes no difference. What seems to block the fields is the act of ticking a box. I'm quite new to forms in Word, so I have no idea what might have gone wrong or where to look for a solution. So any hints would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance! |

Try using the legacy text fields rather than the new content controls. Note, you do NOT want to use ActiveX controls which you find at the same location. To add sanity to your ribbon for making forms, take a look at Add Classic FormField Controls to Ribbon.
For more guidance take a look at the articles listed under additional web and written resources at Making Forms with Microsoft Word. |
