I have a merge doc that has checkbox fields in table columns. The columns are narrow so the merge field description wraps. Somewhere along the line, the checkbox merge field disappeared from the display on the merge template but the checkboxes DO show up when I merge!?!? I thought the column was just too narrow so I widened it but it is still blank. I tried selecting the cell with the vanishing merge field description and pasting it into a new document and nothing shows up! So where they are hiding??? It works but I'd really like to be able to see them and edit them.

I found a partial remedy. I still can't get just the field name to display for the checkboxes like it does for the other fields but Alt-F9 displays the full merge field codes for all the fields and the checkboxes show up then.
