I'm doing some project management at my company. We have a technical specification which is created in MS Word and a Work Breakdown Structure which is created in MS Excel. I want to place the equivelant of a hyperlink in the excel file back to a line item in the word file. How do I do this? If it is not possible is there another program out that that can link between two documents and ensure that the refs are up-to-date even with the line numbers change? I need the macros that excel has to do calculations but the layout capabilities of word for the tech spec. Make sense?

it is possible to link your Word document form Excel.
At first it is recommend to put the excel file and Word files in the same folder. select the text in the excel, then click insert in the head of excel or right click you will find Hyperlink option. Then link to Existing file or Web Page, browser the right Word file to link. |
