Default Ctrl+Shift+C and V not working

I was giving a class to some colleagues over the web this morning, including a demonstration of the built-in Format Painter shortcuts. One associate could not get them to work, although her clickable Format Painter works.

In attempting to track down the problem, I discovered that Format Painter is not listed in the Keyboard shortcuts customization in either the Home tab or All Commands. Anyone know where to find it, or, otherwise, what lurking gremlin might be causing the problem? I didn't ask, but she might be using a laptop, if that makes any difference; I recall vaguely that the Alt or Ctrl on the left doesn't always function exactly as its twin on the right.

In the Customize Keyboard dialog box, look for the CopyFormat command (assigned to Ctrl+Shift+C by default) and PasteFormat command (Ctrl+Shift+V).

Much obliged, Stephan. Interesting that CopyFormat is listed on the Home tab list, but PasteFormat is only in All Commands.

It occurred to me prior to hearing from you that my colleague in Asia may have created another shortcut beginning with Ctrl+C, which could override Word's built-in command. I have done such things a few times. I have yet to hear back, but have now forwarded the info you provided.

Best,
Philip
