Default Macro to count Questions for Court Reporting

If you've ever seen a court report transcript, I need a macro to keep a count of the Question # next to the Q:

For example

104 Q: This is the 104th question
A: This is the answer
105 Q: This is the 105th question

I have no idea how to do this but I've been assured it's possible. So far I've set it up so that there is a style for both Questions and Answers, but I don't know how to get word to automatically fill in the question number.

Thanks

You could make the style for questions a numbered style. See How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in Word 2007 and Word 2010. Note, you have to set up the numbering in one attempt. If you don't get it right, you have to start over.

See also Understanding Styles in Microsoft Word. They are VERY different from styles in WP.
