Seeking some guidance....before i wasted alot of time trying to do something word cant...

1. I have a main word document
2. within this document i have multiple embedded word documents (as objects)
3. within some of these documents i wish to link back to a single embedded work document in the main document

I cant see the woods from the trees on this one and looking for some guidance?

I read this earlier and was confused. I just read it again. I'm still confused.

Could you name your documents and containers as A, B, C, etc. and explain which serves what purpose?

Is it … document A contains documents B, C, and D and OP (aka spgprivate) wants cross-references between B and D somewhere in A?

So I have a main doc, call it DocA.

I have 12 embedded documents, call then Doc1-12

I also have 3 excels that i wish to embed in DocA as the excels are referenced in Doc1-12. Call then XLS1-3

I want to be able to open any Doc1-12 and where relevant click a link to open the relevant XLS1-3.

Simon, it should help get an answer. It is beyond my experience, though.
