I do not even understand what is being asked. JPEG are images. Word is text.

What exactly are you asking about.

Default Conversion

I suspect that you have a jpeg of a page of text that you wish to convert. As far as the text goes, the only pathway I know would involve what is called Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Some programs with this are bundled with scanners. Adobe Acrobat Pro includes some OCR ability, in case you know someone with that program. You'd have to make a pdf of the document first in this case, or, in the first, print the jpeg and then scan it and run the scan through OCR.

Best,
Ulodesk

My experience with OCR is that you usually have to proof read the output very carefully.

A single page can have 20 or more errors, because it didn't recognize the letter, symbol, character correctly.

That is my experience as well. OCR can NOT be trusted. You have to check everything. But we still do not know what the OP is really asking about.

Well, it may, I never tried it. I was really speaking in the grand scheme of things...to extract data where it could be converted and used as data in Word.

Yes Paint can take a JPEG and save them as BMP, but so what. It still has nothing to do with Word. Both JPEG abnd BMP are bit-map files.

As stated already: "JPEG (and BMP) are images. Word is text."

Please try to actually say what you want to happen.
