Default Word 2007 - Object Insert Icon Overlapping

The icon name is overlapping when I insert a file as an object in word. I insert it by going to Insert > Object > Object > Create From File > Browse 'Any File' > Display as icon > OK. I thought at first it was because the icon name was too long, but that doesn't seem to be the case. See link to photo.

The screen capture of the icon above is suppose to say 22.docx, but you can see it is all jumbled. This is not happening to my colleagues. I tried renaming Normal.dotm to Normal.old, rebuilding the word registry key and running diagnostics to reset my settings, but I still have the problem.

Any help would be appreciated!

Does it also print like that? If not, it's probably a display driver problem that can be fixed by updating it from the maker's website. Alternatively, it could be a corrupt Tahoma font file (that's the default font for the text in such objects) or a corrupt document. Corrupt documents can often be 'repaired' by inserting a new, empty, paragraph at the very end, copying everything except that new paragraph to a new document based on the same template, closing the old document and saving the new one over it.

It looks the same when printing. I tried copying the Tahoma font from a colleagues machine where it is working and I still have the same problem. Here is a new picture showing that a colleague can add a new object and it looks fine while mine is still squished. https://twitter.com/quenart/status/3...325185/photo/1

Also you will notice in the picture: https://twitter.com/quenart/status/3...325185/photo/1 that the size of the object is off. The original size shows as 1.51cm by 0.97cm. It is being adjusted to 1.75cm by 2.7cm which is the original size of the correct looking one that my colleague attaches.

It isn't the document that is corrupt, because the same thing happens when I create a new document or if I try to add the object in an existing document. I will be removing Office 2007 on Monday and reinstalling. Thanks for the help!
