Default Table of content breaking mid-way and starting on following page...solution?

I'm completing my 'table of contents' section for a paper. Half-way through the table, it decides to break and start on the next page. I inserted an actual table hoping that by entering the information in the rows of the table, it would stick to the same page. However, the table still broke mid-way and started on the following page. It broke at the mention of bullet I. but the rest of the table II, III, etc follow perfectly.
What to do please? (advice urgently needed)
Many thanks
