Default Lock Text In a Document

Is it possible to lock certain text in a report?

I have heading one

1 Purpose of Report
1.2 The Purpose is blahhhhh

What i want to do is to lock the heading 1 text so that they cannot delete it or any of the text.

The document is locked and only areas that can be accessed in the toolbar is the styles 1, 2 and 3.

Check out the 'Restrict Editing' options available via the Developer tab.

The options for that are just below the ones for the Styles, etc. See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...010354323.aspx

Please note that all you can do is make it more difficult to edit. If they can see it, they can copy it (if only by using a pencil and paper or taking a snapshot with a camera). If they can copy it, they can edit it.
