Default changing defaults in Word 2007

Hope someone can help me. Although relatively new to 2007 I need to do make some changes to default actions.

When inserting images I use the shortcut ALT N P, then double click the file and the image is inserted into the document, but I would like the default action to be insert as a link. To do this at the moment I have to carefully click on the little arrow at the side of the insert button, then select "insert as link" from the drop down - all fiddly and time consuming. Anyone any idea how to change the default action on double click to be "insert as link".

Secondly I would like the default text wrapping to be "top and bottom" rather than "in line with text".

I suspect that these may need to be registry tweaks, but am hoping someone may know otherwise.
