Smile Comparing with a model format

I want to compare the formatting of my word document with another model format. For example, I want to set the heading size, font size, line spacing, footnotes, etc. in a particular way in a model document. And then I want to compare it with my document. My document is really large, and hence it is cumbersome to check each and every line and detail. By comparing the documents, the part where the errors are there would just get highlighted, so that I can edit it. I've seen others do it, but I dont know how to set it up. Help?
