Question My documents have been re-formatted???

That is a very crude description. I'll try to be more precise.

I had created a simple word document ... just a couple of paragraphs, when something popped up on the end of the document

The words "Top of Form" and "Bottom of Form" appeared, and I was unable to delete them. I then noticed that throughout the document every space had been replaced by a "dot" (not a full stop ... the dot is positioned midway up the height of the line of text), and wherever time a carriage return had occurred a carriage return symbol was shown.

I have copied the last para from my document below. However, the rogue characters have not been replicated.

Our best chance (68%) is that the opponents' clubs break 3-2 and we can establish our small clubs as winners.
When we get on lead with K, we play K, unblocking the suit, and then low to dummy's A and Q.
As we hoped, the suit breaks 3-2, so 7 and 6 become winners

Bottom of Form

What is worse is that when I looked at the rest of my word documents, they have somehow all been reformatted in the same way?

Can anyone suggest what might have happened and how it can be fixed???

Partial answer: when you describe with dots replacing spaces and ¶ signs indicating ends of paragraphs, you're describing what you see when you activate "Show … formatting symbols". Don't know about 2013, but in 2010 the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl + 8. It's a toggle, so each time you press Ctrl + 8 the symbols either appear or disappear. I suspect that "top of form", similarly, is just Word displaying some information about the document you're not used to seeing.
