Converting 'comments' into text files (2 questions)
I've written a manuscript and used the "Comments" to add definitions, remarks and asides. In self-publishing the book, I understand they need the 'comments' converted into text boxes. My questions: 1. Is there an easy way to mass-convert the comment boxes into text boxes? 2. One of the reasons I used the comments was because there was a graphic link from the word or phrase to the comment box: Is there a way to add a graphic link from a text box to a particular word in the manuscript? Thanks! |

Hi Paul,
I suggest you check out Word's callout shapes, accessible via Insert>Shapes. Word doesn't have a tool for converting comments to callouts (or textboxes), though. The conversion could probably be done with a macro, but that could be quite involved to develop & test to the point of being useful.
