Hi! This Forum is a God send! I have asked questions before and always had them answered promptly. Thank you so much for what you're doing.
I am self-publishing a book. I've inserted a header and I figured out how to have odd an even headers. Here's the problem. I want the odd header to stay the same throughout the book but I would like the even headers to the reflect the new chapter title. Is that possible in Word? How can I do it? Thanks! Rich from NC |

Assuming that you are using a particular style to format your headings, you can insert a STYLEREF field in the even header; the field will display the text of the current heading using that style.

See StyleRef Field. You may not need the section breaks at all!

Thanks, guys! I will try using the STYLEREF and see how that works. I didn't even know the STYLEREF existed until you mentioned it!
