Default Return entire program to default

I maintain a computer in an assisted living community. That computer came with MS Word 11 installed. On occasion, in fact many occasions, people use Word 11 and change the looks of the workspace to their liking and when they leave the computer they leave Word 11 in that modified state. You can imagine what happens when a novice attempts to use the program. For instance, the ruler may be turned off and they are at a loss without the ruler. In these cases I get a phone call.

Is there a simple way to return Word to it's default ( out of the box) state. I will write an instruction for the operators to use.

Default

You'd probably do better to create user accounts for each user and let them apply their own customisations, which they can keep. That way, no-one messes up what someone else prefers. For temporary users, a guest account that you delete & re-create periodically should keep everything clean, not only for Word but for everything else as well (aids privacy, too, as the users' files get deleted along with the account).

Paul,
Thanks. Problem solved. I created a password protected account for the individual that needs the rulers in WORD. As you suggested the entire account belongs to her and her alone.
