Word Editing Text for Picture format
Hi all,
I have a Doc file converted from PDF. I want to edit the DOC file but since it is a scanned one and it is in picture format i cannot edit the text . It is a scanned copy from a book and i want to edit the text. Please anybody give me ways for doing it . 1) Scanned a book and made in to a PDF format. 2) Converted PDF to Word 3) Could not edit the text in that. It is in the picture format. Thanks in advance Arun |

You will need to use an OCR program (Optical Character Recognition) to turn the images into words, if you wish to edit them. Even better is to scan the text into the OCR software instead of to pdf.
Well known OCR Software: ABBYY Fine Reader Omnipage Pro With this type of software - I wouldn't bother with the free stuff - it's useless. This is one of the times that I would say 'ya gets what ya pays for!' Last edited by Bird_FAT; 05-27-2009 at 01:16 AM. Reason: added links to software pages |
