Word 2003 problems
Are you talking about Show/Hide White Space?
If so, move the insertion point to the top or bottom of the page and click the Show White Space or Hide White Space button. Or you can hide white space by going to Tools, Options, View and unticking 'White space between pages' (but if you then use the above method to show white space, this option gets ticked again).
