Default Import a exclusion list from a quote

Hi There,

I am new to Word. I write quotes all day as I am an Estimator, I am looking for a way to include a tick box of all my choices of clarifications/exclusions to add to my word document,

so when i finish my quote I tick or choose the exclusions i want in that quote and it automatically adds it to my tender letter.

Is there such thing.

Dan

I'd suggest creating a number of custom Quick Parts that you can insert into the document as required. You'll find the function under Insert>Quick Parts>Building Block Organiser. For more info, see:

So there is no way of having a tick box, as my exclusion list will be around 30 ball points, then I have to go through and delete which ones I do not want if I do it with Quick parts.

Quick parts work the other way around - you select the ones you want as you go. The advantage is that you don't end up with a bunch of checkboxes in your document.

That said, it is possible to use checkboxes to selectively delete content. See attached. The document uses the controls in checkbox/text pairs if you check a checkbox and exit it, both it and the next one, plus everything in between, will be deleted (at the moment there's only a tab character separating the two).

Thanks,

quick parts may not be the thing I need then, having 30 different exclusions under quick parts with only a small title allowed doesnt seem right for me, you cant even see what is in the text its that small.
I thought there would be for sure something like quick parts which copies the info, but then you can just easily delete the ball points you dont want.
