I have created several templates with text in the header (and some in the
footer). Usually when I open a new document using any of the templates, the text in the header/footer can be seen - I open in Page Layout - however, for no apparent reason when I now open a new page - even with the normal.dot template, the cursor is at the very top of the page and you cannot see any header. I then have to click on iew \ header and footer in order to see the header. I am sure this is a 'tick box ' fix to do with some options, but I can't seem to find it Can anyone help? Ron |

I have three problems with my book manuscript:
1) Some footers appear on the page, most don't. How can I make them all appear? 2) Footnotes usually appear on the page, but sometimes they don't. Also, some footnote entries have blank lines between them. Most don't. I would like all of them not to have lines between. 3) I am redoing a ms. previously printed as an e-book for my web site. I now need to completely redo the electronic indices. How do I tell the machine to delete the previous indexing? I am using Word 2002. I've tried repeatedly to find the answer to these things on my Help menu. Thank you for any help you can give me. |
