I seem to have a unwanted horizontal line that starts from the left margin and goes about a quarter of way across the page. I cannot seem to delete it. I tried selecting the paragraph above and later below and going to Formate>Borders and Shading> and selecting none. However, the line is still there. This is word 2011 for Mac. Any suggestions out there?

Hi jerryny,
The solution depends on how the line was created. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative data (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab.

Thanks Paul,
It seems the line was created by Endnotes and is a separator between the normal text and the footnotes created by Endnotes and can be removed by following the instructions in this link. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...005186236.aspx Jerry |
