Click-able link in footer
Greetings-
I have 2010 MS Office and want to make a click-able link in the footer. If is also imperative that once it is converted to a pdf file- that the link still work on the pdf also. Having tried it- the link is greyed out and not click-able in Word or pdf. Any suggestions? Much appreciated. |

In a Word document, links in headers and footers are not active unless you first activate the header/footer area. This is by design.
In a Word document converted to PDF, only links that are internet addresses work (such as http://msofficeforums.com), but not hyperlinked text or images. This is a bug.

True. I could have clarified this, but since the whole thread is about clickable links in the footer, I chose not to. :-)

As I wrote, if you can have a link which is a URL (that is, no display text or image), it's going to work in the converted PDF.
