Letter Templates
I currently use a template letter that I have made to respond to applications (rejection letters). However, it is time consuming and I am positive there is a quicker way than just inputting address after address. Is there a software or something that can help me do this quicker? Like a pop-up form, so I don't have to tab/enter/scroll down to the fields I need to fill out. I know this has quite a few possiblities that I haven't even begun to think of, I was wondering where to start. Thanks for any help! Last edited by Bird_FAT; 05-20-2009 at 12:12 PM. |

Could you post the template letter so that we can see what you already have?!

I have created a form that opens with the document - it has sections for name and address. You use the tab button to move through the boxes and click OK to enter the data into the document.
It has a clear button to empty the data boxes, and a cancel button to enable the user to alter manually if they wish! To make something like this all work, you add bookmarks to where you want the text boxes to enter the data (you can add in as many added boxes and bookmarks as you like), then tell the form to enter the data at the bookmark location/s of your choice! If you need any help understanding the VBA script, then just add your questions to this thread so that others can see them! |

Sorry!
Sorry, maybe I am doing something wrong. The document opens with the control toolbox shown, but nothing else. I don't see where to add the information to the form. I can show the address form in the VBA code & know it's there - but I don't know how to pull it up?
Thanks for any and all help! |

Got it!
Yep...my fault. I did not save it as a template. As soon as I did, the form opened for me beautifully. It works great, and I am looking into learning how to code it myself. Thanks so much! Will be sure to up your rep!

I'm back.....
Am I able to bring the form back up again? I can't seem to do that. I want to be able to enter the information, print the page, re-open the form, clear the information and start all over. Sorry, I've kind of went all over to figure this out & just came back here.

Are you looking for it to print on close and then open a new form? I'm a bit busy right now - but I could alter it to do that in the morning and post it then if you want? |

Updated Version
Here you go happymouth,
An updated version - it now has an extra button on the form. Your options are now:
If you look in the coding, I have annotated each section for you, so that you can decipher it easier. There are two sections of code - one in the form itself, the other in 'This Document' - look for both in the left-hand explorer window in the VBA Editor. Hope this helps! ERROR: THE (v2).doc VERSION CONTAINS AN ERROR IN THE VBA CODING - PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE THE *(v2.1).doc VERSION Last edited by Bird_FAT; 05-18-2009 at 07:14 AM. |
