Paste Special: Copy and Paste Formatting Only?
I am wondering how to copy and paste the formatting of the original texts only on the designated texts. I cannot see the option in the Paste Special menu.
Many thanks. |

Not sure what you mean. If you paste as unformatted text, the pasted content adopts the same formatting as whatever applies to the range it's pasted into.

Round the edges of the question and FWIW, I see it's possible to active the format painter with Alt+H,F,P … on the other hand, I can't work out how to use the Ctrl + Shift + C shortcut the Format painter tooltip advertises.
As Paul says, discarding any formatting when you paste is easy. |

Text 1 Text 2 I want to copy the style of Text 1 and paste the style (Italic and Underline) only onto Text 2. The same as format painter. |

Thanks all.
When I knew the words "Format Painter", I searched the correct video clip and knew how to do it. Just don't know how to use keyboard shortcuts to achieve it. Only by clicks. |

Ctrl-Shift-C to copy the format, Ctrl-Shift-V to apply.

Thanks! |
