The table forms part of a progress report and the values in columns 3 and 4 are pasted in from another programme, reporting on the planned vs actual percentage of task completion.

I have had to go through each cell and manually copy/paste the % symbol to the end of each value.

The table is quite small just now, but the macro will save me a lot of time when the project progresses and additional tasks are added.

I hope to be able to edit the macro myself to include text formatting.

Hi Dawsie,

You can do that by selection the columns and using a wildcard Find/Replace, where:
Find = <[0-9.,]{1,}>
Replace = ^&%

… or add % to the column header and leave the imported data as it is ;-}

One could, but that's not what was asked for (many publishers prefer to include the symbols in-line so as to provide rapid visual cues as one's eyes move away from the headings) and the solution is quite easily implmented.
