Default WMP Streaming

Hello,

I'm trying to stream .avi / .wmp files via Word 2012. Everything works fine except whenever I click out of design mode (where I set the video size to 300x300) then click almost anywhere on the document, the player's size goes haywire, usually doubling in size with every click, till it goes right off the page! I even tried restricting the Doc to read-only etc., but nothing's working. Very bizzare behavior here... Anyone know why this might be happening???

Thanks a lot,
Frith

Hi Frith,

Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Programs & Features > Microsoft Office > Change in the Windows Control Panel)? Do you see this behaviour outside of Office?

Thanks for replying. The issue turned out to be the video's inherent size; when I cut it down to 480X320 from 1020X810, it worked fine. I guess Word can't resize video on its own, despite giving you the option to do so in the form of 1) manually entering the resolution or 2) dragging the outlines in design mode.

Thanx,
Frith
