Custom button to open template
Hi,
I apologize in advance if this is the wrong board. I'm looking to add a custom toolbar with a button that opens a new document from a specific template for the users of my organization. Ideally it would work like this: * A custom toolbar with custom graphic on the button, on both Word and PowerPoint. * A dialogue box should pop up when pressing the button, asking which of the templates the user wants (e.g., standard new document, letter, presentation X, etc) * Templates are located on a shared network resource. * The correct template shows up for the user. * Adding the custom toolbar w/button must be as easy for the user as possible, ideally as a .msi installation or similar. I've tried doing some creative googling, without finding exactly what I need - can anyone here help me in the right direction? Best regards, Magnus |

Hi Magnus,
Is there a reason the standard File|New process, with a appropriate set of templates in, say, 'My Templates' isn't sufficient? If not, see: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...010227754.aspx http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/wo...010355697.aspx http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/libr...(v=VS.80).aspx http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ls.aspx?id=727
