breaking header hierarchy
this is my first attempt at any type of word doc.
using word 10 while making several pages i have several colored headers and ive come to see that the header hierarchy isnt the way i want it, some strange reason after editing my docs several times some headers ended up below other headers in a chain. im wanting to break this hierarchy. i cant figure out how to edit them. hirachy.jpg |

First thing to check is the level setting in each style … but I don't know whether Word allows you to assign the same level to more than one style. If not, you may have to be creative and apply colours with a character style after setting the heading with a paragraph style. Not quite as naughty as applying colours direct ;-}
