Hi,
I am trying to check if a given building block has bookmarks or custom fields inside before inserting it in the doc. Any ideas? Thank you in advance Theodore |

As far as I know, you can't check that. What do you want to do with the fields or bookmarks if you do find them? You may be able to do whatever you want done after the Building Block content has been inserted into a document.

Hi,
of course I can insert building blocks in the doc and investigate their content. This is how I am working actually. But, the doc is prepared from other users, there are many building blocks unknown inside it, and, this solution is not elegant. Best Regards, Theodore Panos |

With a macro, the testing could be done behind the scenes, hidden from end users.
However, if you explained exactly what you are trying to accomplish, someone might be able to give more detailed assistance.
