Cannot shift first word of a line to the right.

Default Cannot shift first word of a line to the right.

I cannot shift the beginning of a line so that the first word appears further along the line. For example, I could shift the beginning of the first sentence of this message so that the 'I cannot' appeared further to the right. But I can't do this on the word document that I am working on.
