Is there a function to easily and quickly highlight?
Say you are reading through a text and you want to be able to quickly high light it as you can in PDF editors. How would you do this, without clicking on highlight and then clicking the text over and over again ( I tried this in Gmail while writing stuff there, I guess this is how it works in Word as well) |

I would have hoped you could do this with a character style, but these don't seem to support background colour.
If you can live with a different highlight style such as a change of text colour or an underline, then you can set up a character style and quickly apply it to a selection by right-clicking and selecting the style from the context menu. |

Hi Verbum - I don't have a Mac but if I hit the Highlight text tool before I select text, it stays selected. It highlights any text that I select from then on until I hit the Escape key. Does this help? |

Hi
You could write a macro and assign a shortcut key. Hope this helps. Tony |
