how to print background to the edge of the paper in Word?
I am going insane trying to figure out how to get Word to print a background image i have inserted. The way i do it is:
Page Layout > Page Colour> Fill Effects > Texture> Other Texture and i insert a picture i have saved on my computer. When looking at it on the screen it looks fine and fills up the whole page but when i click on print preview an invisble margin appears whereby it is cutting off part of the background around the edges and leaving a white border around it. I have adjusted all of the margins in Word to "0" and i have also adjusted the print margins to "0" but it still cuts it off in print preview and when i print. This is really frustrating as the background i am trying to print is basically acting as a border around the edge of the paper and then i have a text box over the top of it for text (i am designing invitations) and i can't cut the white border off as i have ordered cardstock that is precut to a specific size. Can anyone please tell me a way that i can print the page background without word cutting it off when i print? |

Unless you have a printer that can do full-page bleeds, you can't. This is a limitation of the printer hardware, not Word. Most printers are unable to print within about 0.25in (6.35mm) of the paper edges on some or all sides.
