Problem with creating outlines in Word
I have always used word for outlines, but only in print view. I have recently read about the advantages of using "outline view" when working with a large document. However, I prefer looking at the outline in print view for most of the time.
The problem I am having is having outline view and print view match up regarding the hierarchies. I am ATTACHING an example. I want the hierarchies in both views to coincide to eachother. However I want to do data input in print view as I prefer that way. The problem is: the outline in print view does not work properly. When I hit enter on a line, it goes to the next line without creating another point in the hierarchy. I don't understand this. It should just create another point in the hierarchy as a normal outline, but for some reason it will not. This forces me to do data input in outline view, which I find difficult and not user friendly. Please help, thanks. |

Hi
This is happening because this is how your style has been setup. To fix this you need to modify your style to set the following paragraph to the same style. Hope this helps. Good luck. Tony |
