afaik, the unlovable Ribbon arrived with Office 2007; if that's so, you should at least be able to check the shortcuts for the view options from the 2003 menus. IF (that's a "big if", by the way) that works, then you might be able to record the shortcut keystrokes as a macro and customise the toolbar.
Not having seen 2003 – I think I skipped from 6.0 to 2009, spending the intervening years in another enivronment – I don't know whether delving into Tools > Options will let you retrieve the view commands and customise the toolbar that way. My personal preference would be to teach my fingers the shortcuts … |
