Default Word Templates on Mac - Date Headers not working

I'm trying to create a Newsletter Template on Word for Mac 2011 and am having problems. There is a date and title header on each page. I can change on the first and last page of the Newsletter but I can't change the interior pages. They are fixed to the default data. Shouldn't the behavior be that you enter the title and date on the first page and it gets copied on all pages? Is anyone else getting this problem?

Hi
Make sure that if you have Section breaks in your document that each Section header is linked to the previous one. That way they should update automatically when you change the header on the first page.
Hope this helps.
