Tabel of contents with three columns: Page number not below each other
I generated an automatic table of contents on a page divided into three columns. The ToC uses two level. The page number for entries of the second level work just fine and are at the right end of their respective columns. However, the entries in the first level expand into the the next column. Why does Word do that? And how can I correct that?

Hi
All you need to do is to cliclk on any one of the Heading 1 entries in your TOC and set a right tab where you want the page number to appear. Good luck. Tony |

Thanks, but that doesn't word. The Heading 1 page number won't properly align with the Heading 2 page number and it looks unprofessional.

Hi
Then you need to change the formatting for Heading 2 in the TOC to match that of Heading 1 and then it will align correctly. Alternatively if you can post a copy of your document I can see what the issue is and advise accordingly. Hope this helps. Tony |

Thanks, but I got it now. I had to adjust all headers (but at least not every single line) manually.
