It's hard to describe my problem, but I'll try.
To wit -- I'm writing a screenplay that is very long and so I'm breaking it up into a number of parts. I have PART ONE finished and I am starting on PART TWO. The problem is that I have PART ONE set up in a specific format as regards to type size and leading, etc. But when I go to print something in PART TWO, the type is "larger" on the page then it is in PART ONE. I don't mean the point size or leading, I mean that the type is actually filling up the page more. My page Setup is exactly the same in PART TWO that it is in PART ONE so I can't figure out what's wrong? |

Hi
Are you able to post a copy of you document? It will help us identify your problem. It sound like it is something to do with formating. Are you using Section Breaks between each part or Page Breaks? Tony |

Hi
Are you able to provide a copy of your document so we can see what formatting has been applied. This will help us diagnose your problem. Thanks Tony |

Thanks for the reply OTPM, but I managed to do a workaround and am okay at the moment. But now I seem to have another problem. I've been working on a manuscript with the 'view' set to 'print layout' I like this because it lets me see separate pages against a gray background. But while working on the manuscript, the view suddenly changed and the pages are now connected with a black line. I tried getting the 'print layout' view back but for some reason I can't. ???

Hi
Again without seeing the document it is difficult to see what is happening. You could try moving your cursor to the black line between each page and if a cursor appears with an arrow top and bottom just left click and your pages should separate. Good luck. Tony |

Thanks again for the reply, Tony.
But as I was typing my manuscript a few minutes later, the view suddenly went back to the separate pages. HaHa! OTOH, I might have inadvertently clicked my mouse on the line but I'm not sure. But I'm sure I'm going to need help again because for some unknown reason, My MSWord seems to have a mind of its own! Cheers, __Jim |
